Property Technician at Saab in Karlskoga

We are now looking for a property technician for our production unit in Karlskoga. You will be stationed at the Björkborn Industrial Area where the production of missile and support products takes place.

Your Role

Your main responsibility is the internal and external maintenance of our properties within the area. Your role involves planning and coordinating other actors while also performing minor tasks yourself. You troubleshoot and take action based on incoming fault reports for our properties and have close cooperation with our property coordinator for the area.

You will have a varied daily routine with tasks that include:

• Maintenance and Repairs - regular maintenance and quick repairs of the properties' technical systems, which may include HVAC. But also simpler classic property-related tasks such as furniture handling, lighting, and lightning rod inspections.
• Troubleshooting - identifying and resolving technical problems and faults by performing thorough troubleshooting measures and being able to use appropriate equipment and tools for this.
• Conducting Planned Maintenance - being able to establish routines and prevent problems. Long-term maintenance to extend the life of systems. Installation and upgrading of technical systems will also continuously be needed to improve the properties' functions.
• Performing Safety Inspections and establishing necessary certifications and permits, as well as ensuring that the property's technical systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Communicating with property owners, managers, and tenants regarding technical issues, maintenance plans, and any operational disruptions.

In addition to daily practical work, the position includes good and thorough documentation of performed work efforts, repairs, maintenance actions, and any changes in the property's technical systems. You as an employee should also keep yourself updated on relevant training and continuing education.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has the ability to see and meet our needs; you want to help create a good environment. It is important that you enjoy working independently but also in a team and have a positive attitude towards work and your colleagues. It is also important that you are service-oriented, quality-conscious, and have the ability to organize your work effectively.

We see that you are a jack-of-all-trades, practically inclined, and enjoy working with your hands. We believe you have a high school education and/or vocational training, preferably with a focus on property management, operations, or equivalent relevant work experience. It is important that you are computer literate and have some experience working digitally in maintenance systems. Experience from crafts such as electrical, ventilation, and/or HVAC is an advantage. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, require specific citizenship.
